Self-relaxation tools, general stress reduction, an outlet for imaginative play, a positive body image, fundamental movement skills, a quiet, healthy mind: the benefits that yoga can impart upon children, from toddlers to tweens, have been well established.
This Saturday, November 14, the Waterside Plaza Swim and Health Club is offering FREE Yogi Beans trial classes in four separate age groups. Open to Waterside Plaza residents and non-residents alike (bring a friend!), the 50-minute trial classes will be happening all afternoon in the Club's spacious and cheery upstairs group fitness studio. On Sunday, November 15, Waterside Group's own Veronica Farje will be on hand with her entertaining, immediately useful workshop on eliminating (or, at least, minimizing) the daily stress in your life, 10 Easy Things You Can Do Now to De-Stress. Farje's everyday serenity tools and techniques are memorable, simple to use, and, best of all, proven effective. This is a FREE event, it's open to the public, and it will be held in the Club's group fitness studio this Sunday at 1:30.
If you're planning a trip this winter to someplace warm and beautiful and teeming with underwater wildlife? if you've always dreamed of exploring the vast and astonishing world beneath the sea? there's never been an easier way to get your fully certified than with the Waterside Plaza Swim and Health Club's Scuba Diving Classes, held right here in our indoor heated pool. Group Fitness Month means that we're putting a lot of emphasis on our terrific slate of weekly classes, from Water Aerobics, Pilates, and Cardio Kickboxing to Belly Dancing, Hatha Yoga and our ever-popular Kick and Sculpt class. But before you sign up for a regular class (which, by the way, makes for an excellent motivator to get your exercise), maybe you'd like a Waterside Plaza Swim and Health Club FREE Fitness Evaluation? Every Sunday in November from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., our friendly and knowledgeable staff of Fitness Instructor will be on hand to conduct a thorough, personal evaluation of your fitness strengths as well areas that could use some work. The free evaluations include blood pressure readings, heart rate monitoring, and body fat calculations, as well as advice and suggestions on how we can help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
