New York's grownups-only Toy Fair is almost upon us (stay tuned for details!) but in the meantime, the Ethical Cultural Society is hosting its annual Toy Expo and Cultural Festival--where kids are welcome and expected! Giving your kids a healthy dose of history, culture, and learning will never be easier than when you can wrap it up in hundreds of one-of-a-kind toys.

Besides showcasing several unique antique playthings, there will be an exhibition of original creations by high-school-aged New York whiz kids in the show's Toy Invention Contest. Also, there will be several create-it-yourself demonstrations for you and the kids to take your own cracks at toy building.

The festival is presented by Marlene Hochman of the wonderful Toy Museum of NYC on February 11 at the Social Hall, Ethical Cultural Society. 2W 64th Street, Central Park West from 10AM to 4PM. Only $5 for adults and $2 for kids and seniors. Don't miss it. As Hochman says, "It's nothing you would find at Toys 'R' Us."
