Harlem Speakeasy Orchestra
Tomorrow, Wednesday July 25th, Waterside Plaza's Music Under the Stars presents the Harlem Speakeasy Orchestra! This 12-piece band is comprised of some of New York City's most talented musicians playing a wide variety of classic music from the swinging Big Band Era and beyond. Come hear the all-time greats like Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald--but make no mistake; this isn't an oldies band. The Harlem Speakeasy Orchestra brings a startlingly fresh approach to legendary songs that will have you on your feet in no time. And if you don't know how to dance, luckily for you, there is a FREE swing dance lesson during breaks in the concert. The concert is also free and open to the public so bring everyone you know for a mid-week music break under the stars and by the water!
